MP Promise To Help ‘Village’ Nurse’s

The New Patriotic Party Member of Parliament for Dormaa East, William Kwasi Sabi, has promised to help nurses who accept postings to the villages to help improve health care in the constituency.
According to him, nursing is a voluntary and committed job, but the nurses need encouragement to give out all their best in providing services to the people.
Mr. Sabi who mentioned this in an interaction with pressmen in Sunyani disclosed that people living in rural areas are mostly the poorest and therefore have high record of different diseases that is why it is important for health professionals to be close to them.
He advised nurses not to look at the luxurious life in the towns and cities but rather accept postings to the villages to help the poor people that need their services most.
Mr. Sabi called on nurses to make sure their services are extended to any part of the country where people need health care since that is the basis of their training
The MP who is also the first NHIS Boss in Brong Ahafo said taking care of people’s health is not an easy task that is why nurses should be given all the respect they need especially those serving in the villages.
The health economist who is serving his first term in Parliament used the opportunity to promise his constituents that he will do everything within his power to help bring development to the people to release them from the burden they are going through with regards to access to health care.
